About
Arielle Beck, who is supported by Martha Argerich and regularly mentored by Stephen Kovacevich and Romano Pallottini, displays an unusually precocious talent. Although still a teenager, she is already a seasoned concert performer and regularly plays in prestigious venues in France and abroad. This young artist fearlessly tackles demanding scores with authority and maturity. She will demonstrate this at her first major Parisian recital with Sonata No. 1 by Schumann, which is renowned for its thematic complexity. Sonata No. 14 by Schubert, one of the first pieces for keyboard written by the mature composer, is fraught with technical dangers for the performer, particularly in the two extreme movements. She will round off the evening with Mendelssohn’s 17 Variations sérieuses, a highpoint of the Romantic piano repertoire.
