About
Twenty years already! Amandine Beyer and Gli Incogniti have been playing together since 2006, notably Bach and Vivaldi, but have lost none of their energy, enthusiasm, and relish. Quite the reverse. Beyer, a student of Chiara Banchini, says of the Red Priest “his repertoire is inexhaustible. You come realise the extent to which his imagination knew no bounds. You never tire of him, he is always different”. But before his famous Four Seasons and other masterpieces by the great Johann-Sebastian Bach, a concerto “a più istrumenti” by the less well-known Italian Evaristo Felice Dall’Abaco (1675-1742), situated at the intersection of different styles. There are hints of Corelli here, and a more French style of aria there, all wrapped up in a feast of colour: summer is coming in all its bright glory.
