About

The piano phenomenon Khatia Buniatishvili blows codes out of the water with her off-the-beaten-track interpretations. A key figure on the international classical scene, the Franco-Georgian virtuoso "allows herself every emotion" and meticulously selects the composers in her repertoire. Hailed as one of Asia's finest orchestras, the Taiwan Philharmonic, also known as the National Symphony Orchestra, performs a wide variety of works. With nearly 100 talented musicians, the orchestra performs a vast repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music. For the past year, its musical director Jun Märkl has been working with a number of renowned conductors and international soloists, and has performed in prestigious concert halls in Taiwan and abroad, actively contributing to the cultural and musical enrichment of the region.
