How are family bonds forged? How is the baton passed on, and how are lineages perpetuated? Two great tenors, Christoph and Julian Prégardien, who also happen to be father and son, address these interesting questions. Together they have chosen pieces by Beethoven and Schubert, one of which is orchestrated by the composer Clara Olivares, and these will be mirrored in texts and poems. According to Christoph Prégardien, they will bring a touch of mischief to this arrangement: “With Julian, we will be playing throughout the evening on the fact that the audience doesn’t know who is singing what.”
